For my work, I wanted to focus on form as well as design and detail by spending hours on my illustrations that I carve into the surface of my piece using a technique called sgraffito where you underglaze the pot and carve to see the clay’s color underneath. My illustrations mostly consist of nature with occasional storytelling. The goal of my illustrations is to make the viewer come back and look for and notice more and more little details.
